WOODENBONG
12 SEPTEMBER 2020
We left Rainforest Gateway Camp and headed towards Kyogle Mountain Bike Park.
There was no one there so I rode the tracks solo. There were three intermediate tracks that were long and challenging. They all ended in the same location with a steep uphill walk to the start of the tracks. I great morning.
Our next stop was Kyogle for supplies.
On the way to Woodenbong with visited Moore Park Nature Reserve. There was a hike through a dry rainforest along a track that became a little difficult to follow. There were bird calls and it was very quiet. Back at the picnic area, we could see the bat colony high in the trees.
We arrived at the small town of Woodenbong and camped at the showground camp. It was $10 for a powered site. It was pretty good especially when compared o the cost. We chatted we a few people then had a walk through town. It was late afternoon so all the shops were closed. The streets were very wide.
Back at the camp, we lit a fire and sat there till it got a bit too chilly on the back.

A cold night with a chilly fog.
We had a chat with a few people then headed off to see a few waterfalls.
