CENTRAL COAST - Wamberal Lagoon - kayak - 1 November 2009

 
Wamberal Lagoon is on the Central Coast of NSW. The lagoon is surrounded by Wamberal Nature Reserve and Wamberal Park on the east and northen ends. there are some dwells close to the water on the west side.

The lagoon is shallow with a variety of vegetation from grasses to paper bark trees. There is also a variety of bird life such as peahens, ducks, spoonbills, cranes and sea eagles to name a few.

 
At the northen end there is a small creek that runs for a time parallel a street in Forresters Beach.

Access is via the southern end.

time: 2 to 3 hours
best: bird life, surprising changes in the vegetation
