COPACABANA LAGOON KAYAK - 17 AUGUST 2016

A great day for a kayak at Copacabana (Cockrone) lagoon. The weather was sunny with a light wind.

The water level was high in the lagoon. It was heaps of fun paddling through the water bounded casuarinas and paper bark trees.

The main tributary was still and primal but the water was too high to go under the bridge.

Paddling around one bend were a pair of black swans. I watched them for ages. One of them gave me a honk when I got too close.

A fun3.36km kayak.

AVOCA LAGOON - KAYAK - 20 OCTOBER 2015

A brilliant day with a nice sunrise at Wamberal Beach.

Surf not so good so over to Avoca for a kayak.



The lagoon was very high with water. Where we sometimes sit on the lagoon's edge was a half metre under water. The best part is kayaking over places that were usually dry land.

I paddled a bit through the reeds and trees, admired the early morning reflections and watched the various birds in their native habitat. there were black swans, cormorants, ducks and plovers today.

CENTRAL COAST - WAMBERAL LAGOON - BLACK SWANS - 17 AUGUST 2015

An early morning 5.27 km kayak at Wamberal Lagoon.

The lagoon was full so I was able to paddle in places that were usually dry land. Unfortunately, I got no videos as the go pro battery was flat and I didn't realize till near the end of the paddle.

 

Anyway, I took a few photos and I enjoyed paddled through the trees, between the trees and watching the wildlife.

 

A pair of Black Swans put on a good show and they allowed me to drift close to them. :)
