27 SEPTEMBER
An early morning surf check. The surf was messy but the sunrise was great at Wamberal and North Avoca Beaches.
Back home for
breakfast and off to Gosford waterfront at Brisbane Water for a kayak. There
was only a light wind and it was heaps of fun paddling along the edge of the
esplanade. It was even more fun paddling under the waterfront restaurant and
the railway bridge.
Back home and down the
Terrigal Haven for a few walking laps.
28 SEPTEMBER
A hike around the
rocks from Putty Beach to Bullimah Beach.
A fun walk around the
point and up the headland then following the path to Bullimah Beach. The
scenery was awesome and we had Bullimah Beach to ourselves and one crow.
29 SEPTEMBER
A walk around the
rocks at Terrigal Haven.
It was quiet on the
rocks but crowded on the pathway.
Later, an appointment
with eye specialist.
My left eye had been
filling with water making vision blurry in that eye. The problem was a blocked
tear draining duct. Next step, eye surgeon for their opinion and action. J
1 OCTOBER
A mountain bike ride
and hike to Woy Woy waterfall in Brisbane Water National Park.
An easy ride with
mainly downhill a little after the gate along the tunnel trail. At the end of
the trail, there is a short track to the right. I followed that to the small
creek. The creek was pretty and I walked down the creek to the waterfall drop
off. It was very vertical and high. The track leads to right and follows a
narrow and in parts steep climb down to the base of the falls. There were a few
people there. A narrow ledge led to a human made pool at the base of the falls
where the water dropped. It would be nice on a hotter day to have some swim
gear. The vegetation at the base is thick and rainforest-like. A great
bike/hike. On the way back, I stopped at the old quarry for a play on the bike.
2 OCTOBER
We spent the day
helping our daughter move to a new rental home.
