INDONESIA - BALI - BALIAN - A FEW DAYS OF FUN SURFING - 6 SEPTEMBER 2018

2 SEPTEMBER 2018

Nyoman arrived at 9:30am for a drive from Lovina to Nusa Dua to the BIMC Dental Clinic. Jacinta had cracked her denture and we had made an appointment for 2pm. We got there earlier and were able to do our appointment. Back in a few days to pick it up.

We continued our drive to Balian and arrived late in the afternoon at Gubug Bungalows (450 000R). We settled in then had a sunset walk along the beach and coffee at the Japanese cafe. Dinner was in Tom's Garden.

A long day of driving but all tasks were done and we finished watching a beautiful sunset holding hands.

I woke and had a fun surf. Not too crowded and heaps of waves at about head height size. Feeling good.

Breakfast then a second surf. Not as good as the earlier surf but hardly anyone out.

The rest of the day was a sit around the pool, coffee and pie at Tom's Garden and dinner at Tekor.

4 SEPTEMBER 2018

The surf was smaller this morning but it was still a fun. There were infrequent waves but today was my lucky day and I seemed to be in position for a lot of nice ones.

Back in for breakfast and out for another better than I thought it would be surf.

The rest of the day was eating, reading, relaxing and dinner at Tom's garden.

5 SEPTEMBER 2018

An early small surf. I was first out and the crowd quickly filled with a lot of beginners.

Back for breakfast then out for a second surf but the waves were infrequent.

As usual, the rest of the day was reading, eating, chatting and recovering from surf aches. Dinner was at Tekor here we caught up with Mark, Mandy and Jeff.

Earlier in the day, I met Tutt from Scotts Head.

6 SEPTEMBER 2018

The surf was very small today. A very few okay waves. I decided on a swim in the pool, breakfast and reorganizing my bag.

Nyoman picked us up at 11 am (600 000R) for the drive to Legian. We stopped at the BIMC in Nusa first to get and adjust Jacinta's dental work.
