Nice day but surf very flat.

A morning ride at Kincumba Mountain along a few of the tracks. No one there, quiet, damp tracks, humid, misty and heaps of mosquitoes.

Surfed at The Bend, Terrigal with Ken. Some okay waves but the tide filled the waves quickly and it was 'all over red rover'.

A visit from Friend Chris for a few days.

Visited the physio this morning. A few adjustments to the wrist brace and a discussion on possibility of surfing. We removed the metal bracing of the wrist strap.

Left the physio and drove straight down to The Bend on Terrigal Beach. Heaps of waves – some fast lefts and short but fun rights. The wrist hurt a bit but not enough to spoil the fun. After ¾ hour, I was tired but feeling so good.

Cycled along the path at Umina/Ettalong Beaches.

It was very warm and humid. Such pretty views. Finished with a swim at Umina Beach after the ride.

Cycled along the path at Tuggerah Lake, Long Jetty. Rode for a while on some short tracks where someone had made a few bike challenges… fun.

Wrist felt good but a bit awkward with the flat metal  that runs along the strapping. Hard to get a good grip on the handlebars.

BALI, LEGIAN - BUTTERFLIES, COCOON AND REUNION - 3 JULY 2017

The driver, Nyoman, picked us up at 1pm (450 000R) at Balian and after an hour, we were at the Bali Butterfly Park Tabanan.

It was small but really good. There were butterflies flying around inside a large walk around aviary. Inside the large aviary was a smaller aviary for very big moths, scorpions, stick insects, rhinoceros beetles, spiders and a duck. It was all very pretty and enjoyable.

From there it took an hour and a half to get to the Grand Kumala Hotel in Legian.

We sorted ourselves out and then it was time to meet Jacinta's school friend from 40 plus years ago, Julie and her friend Sue, at the Cocoon. It was a great reunion with the ladies acting like girls and remembering days of the old school yard. We had fun swimming in the colourful pool and drinking cocktails. From there, we moved to the Zanzibar for food and more laughs. A great night out!

CENTRAL COAST - AUSTRALIAN REPTILE PARK - 18 APRIL 2014

A great Central Coast venue and well worth the visit.

Upon entry, we turned left where there were three pit type exhibits. In the exhibits were  a mixture of animals. Most surprising were the snakes. We watched as a red bellied black snake slivered amongst a group of turtles - amazing!

The shows were very entertaining - crocodile, snakes and lizards. The show exhibited the animals and the care given to them at the park.

Birds, spiders and marsupials were also on display.

I know I'm not saying much but it is  place you have to see rather than describe.

It easy to get around and there are a number of places to sit and eat.

AUSTRALIA - Lane Cove National Park - kayak - 17 February 2011

I had to Kara to North Sydney and wait. Luckily, Lane Cove National Park was only a twenty drive.

The traffic was amazing but once i turned into the entrance of the park tranquility reined. Once on the kayak, it was hard to beleive I was in the middle of Sydney. There were birds, massive fish, spiders, snakes and water dragons.

It was an excellent kayak!
