We drove north and
visited Bron and Tony in Lawrence for a short while. A chat and a few cups of
tea.
Next, we drove to
Yamba to visit Julie. An old school friend of Jacinta’s. A fun afternoon and
evening where we also caught up with Johnny, Zane and Tully.
21 FEBRUARY
Eventually, we woke
and drove north to Lennox Head.
The driver, Nyoman, picked us up at 1pm (450 000R) at Balian and
after an hour, we were at the Bali Butterfly Park Tabanan.
It was small but
really good. There were butterflies flying around inside a large walk around aviary. Inside the large aviary was a smaller
aviary for very big moths, scorpions, stick insects, rhinoceros beetles,
spiders and a duck. It was all very pretty and enjoyable.
From there it took an hour and a half to get to the Grand
Kumala Hotel in Legian.
We sorted ourselves out and then it was time to meet
Jacinta's school friend from 40 plus years ago, Julie and her friend Sue, at the
Cocoon. It was a great reunion with the ladies acting like girls and
remembering days of the old school yard. We had fun swimming in the colourful
pool and drinking cocktails. From there, we moved to the Zanzibar for food and
more laughs. A great night out!
