New Zealand - Rotorua - Government Gardens - 3 January 2010

We spent the later part of the afternoon sitting in the bathhouse cafe drinking coffee and admiring the scenery.

The building is an old bathhouse and is very impressive. It is now a museum and cafe.

The gardens are neat and well arranged. We watched people playing croquet.

France - Brittany and Normandie - september 2006

We travelled along the coast of Brittany and Normandie and visited many towns and places. The weather was great and coastline was very changeable. The historical parts both inland and on the coast were very interesting with forts and churches.

Italy - Venzio (Venice) - july 2006

We stayed outside Venice at a seaside camp area. The beach was filthy with cigarette ash and the water was murky but cool. The camp had entertainment every night.

Down the road from the camp were ferries to Venice and other places. We took a boat trip to Venice, stopping at and walking around Burano and Murano. At venice we walked around the small streets, churches and squares and took a gondola ride (expensive but cool).

Luxembourg - july 2006

Luxembourg has it all. History, scenic countryside, chateaux, rivers, cafes and all in a relatively small area.

France - Paris - july 2006

We stayed in a small hotel in Paris for a week. We went to as many places as we could - museums, gardens, steeets, cafes, restaurants, towers, buildings, river cruise. It was easy getting around on the metro. An amazing place!! watch out for the dog poo! It's everywhere.
