New Zealand - Pakiri Beach, Manu Bay and Piha - surf - january 2010

presently, i'm out of the water for a short while. i've taken this opportunity to catch up on some you tubing.

these three movies are on new zealand.

piha is a black sand beach break.

pakiri is a white sand shallow break.

manu bay is a rocky point break. this movie has a mixture of local surfers and myself.

New Zealand - Raglan, Manu Bay, Bridal Veil Falls - 11 January 2010

Raglan is a massive bay. The points of interest for me were the surf breaks.

Though the wind was strong, the waves were reasonably protected at Manu Bay. There were only a few guys out the back and they were a friendly lot. I had lots of fun waves. Some waves just seemed to go on forever.

After the surf, we drove around to Bridal Veil Falls. The falls were very high and powerful. The view points were nearly directly over the falls edge and looking across at the falls. The walk through the falls was through lush rainforest.

Manu Bay - Raglan - New Zealand - 11 January 2010

I spent a few weeks in New Zealand looking at the sights, doing heaps of activities and some surfing. Apparently, as i was told, the surf was crappy, small and on-shore while i was away. I was back in time for the huge swell of last week.

Yesterday, Tim, Gavin and I were called into shore due to a shark at Wamberal. Waves weren't that good anyway.

Back to surfing in New Zealand. This video is of myself (don't get many of myself). I;ll add some more surf videos of NZ as i get them finished.
