INDONESIA - BALI - LEGIAN - 8 MARCH 2019

Last stop before heading back to Australia.



I booked a room for the night even though I was leaving that night as it works out better to be able to have a shower/rest before the last leg.

I did my last Bali things  - haircut, massage, eat and sunset beers on the beach.

INDONESIA - BALI - BALIAN 19 FEBRUARY TO 8 MARCH 2019

The final stay of my Indonesian trip.

There was heaps and heaps of fun waves with only a small crowd.

The weather was mainly sunny and there was little rain … it was the rainy season???

I stayed at Gubug Bungalows. The staff were as usual friendly and relaxed. I spent a lot of time at the pool and hiding in the air con room during the hotter part of day.

I met heaps of wonderful people who are now friends … mainly from England. I caught up with a number of people I'd met on previous trips - expats, visitors and locals. So good to see familiar faces.

Besides surfing, I spent a lot of time chatting, walking, sitting by the pool and reading.

It was such a good finale to the trip.

INDONESIA - BALI - SANUR - 16 TO 23 FEBRUARY 2019

I flew Manado to Bali. At the airport, I had some difficulties with my surfboard regarding charges.

I arrived in Sanur and stayed at the Swastika Bungalows. The hotel was nice with three pools. The room was big and clean and staff were friendly.

Finally I got surf. I caught up with long time friend Wal and we had 5 early morning surf sessions on a nice reef right. Only the two of us out, Soooo good. Every morning well before dawn, I hopped on the motorbike and met him at the break. We sat there chatting until there was enough light to surf.

In Sanur, there were heaps of restaurants and cheap eats near the beach. After surfing I spent my time at the pool, on the beach, hiking, snorkelling and swimming.
