20 JUNE 2020

A mountain bike ride on Kincumba Mountain with Jacinta.

There were a few problems with Jacinta's bike as it hadn't been used for awhile - Gears and brakes sticking.

Back at home, we were able to fix the problems with marine lubricate. All good for the next ride.

24 JUNE 2020

An early morning surf check at North Avoca Beach. Maybe better later. :)

Decided on a mountain bike ride at Bouddi National Park.

It was a good ride but hard at first as the might was in my eyes. I hit the side of a tree at one stage and thought I was going to have a big tumble but luck was on my side and I manged to regain control. 

After the ride, I had a coffee and a wander around Killcare Beach. It was very pretty with a clear ocean. Clouds were on the horizon though.

A mid morning surf at Wamberal Beach.

It started off okay with about four good waves but deteriorated with the high tide and the wave lost its shape.

A late morning surf at Pelican Beach.

The waves were head height when I paddled out and breaking shallow and fast. There were only two of us on a left hand wave bank. The waves were so much fun. Some great barrels.

Absolutely smashed on the last wave where the left and right joined together. haha :)

A mid morning surf at Pelican Beach with Ken.

We surfed a left and right bank with only the two of us.

It was heaps of fun. The waves the breaking hard and fast but smaller than yesterday.

A mid morning mountain bike ride at Kincumba mountain.

The weather started off sunny but it was raining towards the end of the ride.

The tracks were firm. I rode over a number of different tracks.

A  kangaroo was briefly ahead of me on one track before it quickly hopped away.

A morning surf check - no go. 

A mountain bike ride at Kincumba Mountain.

A beautiful, warm and sunny Winter's day. The tracks were firm and the crowds have dropped significantly. Back to near normal weekday.

The council are building a new gate. Interesting to see the purpose of it.

A trip to Sydney to see Mark, Jacinta's brother.

A morning hike to Lobster Beach in Bouddi National Park.

A short but step walk over the hill to a pretty beach. We explored the rocks at each end but couldn't get too far due to a high tide.

THE ACT - MOUNTAIN BIKING - 11 TO 13 JUNE 2020

 A few days visiting my old friend Mark in Sutton, NSW.

We had two really fun and long mountain bike rides on groomed tracks in the ACT. They were so varied and the views were sensational.

Mark lives on a large property where he is farming trees.

We also spent a lot of time eating at good restaurants and cafes. Once again such a variety.

29 MAY 2020

A surf at Wamberal Beach with Ken.

The warm was relatively warm and the surf was okay. I had two good waves. My eye problem seems to have resolved itself with moisturizing drops before surfing.

30 MAY 2020

 An early hike on the Rocky Point tracks at Bouddi National Park with Jacinta.

It was a pretty hike following the bike track to the lookout and the main trail back.

After the hike, we had coffee at Killcare Beach and watched the surfing.

31 MAY 2020

A mid morning mountain bike ride at Kincumba Mountain.

This was good ride. I felt in control, was smooth in a few spots where I I was rougher and did One hard section for the first time with no problems.

I followed a lot of tracks and it was a bit social for a change as there were a lot of other riders.

After the ride, I had a coffee and sun sit at Terrigal Haven with Jacinta.

1 JUNE 2020

A mid morning mountain bike ride and hike to the Tallow beaches in Bouddi National Park.

A great ride with some narrow tracks, amazing coastal views, some cliff top riding, some hiking, a long and steep downhill section and a wander along the beach.

It has it all. :)

Later, I had coffee and lunch in the sun at Terrigal Haven with Kara and Mr Archibald.

A very windy morning hike to Bulgandry Aboriginal site in Brisbane Water National Park.

A stop at Staples Lookout.

And a coffee and sit at Terrigal Haven.
